Ways to fundraise

Not sure where to start? Pick a format below that fits your network and milestone. Each one lists what is involved and what we provide.

Personal or birthday

Ask friends and family to give instead of gifts for a birthday, anniversary, or personal milestone.

What it involves

  • Choose a milestone and a date to share your appeal
  • Set a personal goal and talk about why mental health access matters to you
  • Share your story with friends and family by message or social media

What we provide

  • A short description of where gifts go, written in your own voice
  • Receipting for every donor and a running total you can share
  • A named contact to answer donor questions

Ideal for

Anyone marking a milestone who would rather fund care than receive gifts.

A typical personal goal is $250–$1,000.

Community

Organize a local event, drive, or challenge with your neighborhood, faith group, or club.

What it involves

  • Pick a format: a walk, bake sale, concert, or challenge
  • Find a venue or online platform and set a date
  • Invite your community and collect gifts in one place

What we provide

  • Flyer and social templates you can adapt
  • Clear talking points on how gifts become care
  • Receipting and a summary report after your event

Ideal for

Faith groups, neighborhood associations, clubs, and local community leaders.

Community events often aim for $1,000–$5,000.

Memorial or tribute

Honour someone by funding mental health care for people who cannot afford it.

What it involves

  • Decide whether gifts are one-time or ongoing in their memory
  • Share a short tribute if you would like to
  • Choose whether donations are acknowledged privately or publicly

What we provide

  • A respectful tribute page or written acknowledgement
  • Sensitivity and privacy for every donor and family
  • Receipting and, if helpful, a summary of the care supported

Ideal for

Families and friends who want to remember a loved one through giving.

Memorial appeals vary widely; we will help you set a realistic goal.

Workplace

Run a team fundraiser, matched-giving campaign, or friendly department challenge.

What it involves

  • Get a sponsor or manager to back the campaign
  • Check whether your employer matches employee gifts
  • Set a team target and rally colleagues around it

What we provide

  • Employer-friendly copy explaining our nonprofit status and EIN
  • Help coordinating any matching-gift paperwork
  • A final report your team can share internally

Ideal for

Employees, ERGs, and teams whose company supports workplace giving.

Workplace campaigns often set $1,000–$10,000 goals.

Social

Share your page online and rally your network around a shared goal.

What it involves

  • Set up a short page explaining who you are raising funds for and why
  • Share the link with your network and post updates
  • Thank donors publicly or privately as they give

What we provide

  • A shareable summary and approved images
  • Help responding to questions about how gifts are used
  • Receipting for every donor

Ideal for

Creators, students, and anyone with an online following.

Social appeals can start at $100 and grow with your reach.

Schools and clubs

Combine fundraising with mental health awareness for students, members, or participants.

What it involves

  • Pair the fundraiser with an awareness activity or talk
  • Set a goal the whole group can work toward together
  • Keep it appropriate and accessible for the age group

What we provide

  • Age-appropriate messaging about mental health access
  • Templates for a simple school or club drive
  • Receipting and a summary for your group

Ideal for

Student groups, clubs, and school communities.

School drives often aim for $500–$2,500.

Where your money goes

Every fundraiser helps remove a barrier to care

When insurance, cost, or a lack of local providers keeps someone from mental health treatment, the funds you raise help The MindBridge Health step in. Your appeal can help cover psychiatric care, prescribed medication, evaluations, or funded care through a qualified local provider.

Online self-serve fundraising pages are being set up. Until they are live, we help each organizer plan and collect gifts manually.

  • Charitable assistance toward approved care from independent providers
  • Medication assistance for eligible participants
  • Funded care through qualified local mental health providers
  • Evaluations and assessments made accessible

What a gift may help with

  • May help cover all or part of a psychiatric evaluation.$300
  • May help fund a medication-management appointment.$150
  • May help offset eligible prescribed medication costs.$50
  • May help pay for an approved therapy or mental health appointment through a local provider.$150
  • May help support multiple appointments or a period of ongoing care.$600

Illustrative ways a gift may help; these amounts do not guarantee any service or coverage. Actual provider rates and approved assistance vary by need, program rules and available funding.
